West Monroe, a global consulting firm specializing in utilities, and Sitenna have announced a team-up to help utility and energy customers get a faster route to replacing their fragmented, manually collected and managed infrastructure data, with a purpose-built platform that delivers faster visibility and reliable insights for the most complex grid and network modernization programs, helping them build more, faster.
In the announcement dated September 16, 2026, both companies explained the challenges faced by the industry as it struggles to cope with the accelerating demands of AI and automation, with networks already at their limit. This perfect storm of increasing demand, aging assets, and a grid that has to be more secure and intelligent has created a need for the largest infrastructure build-out in decades.
The engineering for these increasingly complex infrastructure updates is well understood, but delays and additional project costs arise from information fragmented across engineering teams in the field, project contractors, and disconnected office applications such as spreadsheets, email, document management and ERP platforms.
The West Monroe and Sitenna team-up pairs West Monroe’s extensive experience in complex utility modernization programs with Sitenna’s proven integrated platform that gives a single application environment for all teams in which to manage site, project, asset and equipment data, and relevant documentation such as agreements. Together, the companies provide a means to save time collecting and reconciling information, compiling data for reports to try to establish progress, and trying to spot possible bottlenecks, by giving fast, reliable visibility from a single source of truth for projects and assets.
While Sitenna’s platform can help utility companies begin to benefit within weeks or even days, delays can arise from having to contract with and onboard a new vendor (which can often involve extensive processes such as security reviews). The team-up means West Monroe can introduce the technology into its existing engagements, dramatically reducing the time to value for the utility customer.
Both companies expect significant interest in the collaboration from utility companies as they continually struggle to meet the increasing demands to expand and modernize their infrastructure to cope with the needs of data centers, 6G communications networks and other critical infrastructure expansions.
